About Diana

Diana Dudgeon was born Diana Ruth Alarid Pérez on December 19, 1981, in Mexico City.  Her first visit to the United States was a trip to San Francisco in May of 1982 at the age of six months. Her father was an electrical engineer, whose services were employed in many countries.  He helped design the electrical system at the original Yankee stadium.  Her mother was a school teacher who taught both in Mexico and the United States.  She continues to work in the field of education.

Though raised in Mexico City, Diana was taught English in school from her first day in kindergarten.  Few Americans who talk to her would guess that she is not a native speaker.  She is very interested in both the English and Spanish languages, as well as the way US Americans interact with Mexican immigrants.  She has taught English, both in Mexico, and in the United States, both professionally, and as a volunteer.  For example, she worked tirelessly at the Literacy Council in Jefferson, Wisconsin, where she helped Mexican immigrants gain important skills for success in a foreign country.  She has experience translating legal, medical, and other documents from Spanish to English and from English to Spanish. Diana is the founder of EnglishEspañol – Bilingual Solutions and she is a member of the American Translators Association and the Northern California Translators Association.

Diana has lived in the United States since December of 2008, where she is a permanent resident.  She currently lives in Morgan Hill, California.

Diana is smart, sexy, extremely capable and has an amazing sense of humor.  She excels at everything she attempts.  And I’m not just saying this because she’s my wife.

It is with great joy that I am reading this website and I am very happy that Diana decided to share her beautiful mind with us. I know Diana since we were kids because she is a niece of my dear “Tia Panchita”, we are both nieces of her and I am sure that, as well as I have, she has had a lot of influence coming from Tia Panchita’s house…we also share a lot of similarities since I am also a chilanga living in USA. I pledge alliance to this flag. !Felicidades Diana por escribir tan bonito!
